friends forever

My host mom has a sister who has anther PCV, Stephanie. She’s from utah and THANK GOD for her! At all family events she is there and it is such a help to have someone so close to me all the time. We have become very good friends and talk everyday. I have a feeling that we will be friends much longer the the three months of pst (pre service training). We also have a girl named Katherine from NY. Whenever i mention “kathy” to my family, they hear :kafe: (meaning coffee) Her family is totally fluent in english and lived stateside almost 10 years. Eric from michigan is also in our town. This town has less than 3,000 people in it. People ride carts pulled by donkeys and talk on their cell phones. It’s crazyness.
note to future PVC’s: PST will be just like school! Language training and technical training (for your job) all day long, everyday m-f. Bring all needed school supplies; pencils, pens, notecards, highlighter, notebook. I didnt bring a notebook, pencil, or highlighter and i wish i had. Just an fyi!
