hi! I came across your post while avidly searching google for Peace Corps + Cameroon + 2005 + blog. (ha :) I’m very, very happy to find someone else who will be in the group! (and that we’ll be in Cameroon in 4 weeks!!!! exactly, counting today as Saturday, anyway).
I’ve been hoping to be able to get in touch with someone before the Sept 28 meeting (which may explain the excited/fast typing). Anyway, it’d be great to talk, and please email me at JAStella@gmail.com.

Hi there!! I am also gong to Cameroon. I ahve staging in Phildelphia on Sept. 28. I heard about this from a friend of mine here in Bozeman, MT that is going to Madagascar at the same time. Hi there,
I am currently in the process of applying to the Peace Corps. I am very excited about the possibility of serving, however, have some safety concerns. If you have the time, I would greatly appreciate any insights you provide into the issue. Do you feel safe where you serve? Do you have a support network from the program, local community members and/or other volunteers in the area? Again, any advice or concerns shared would be greatly appreciated. Hey!
I am leaving for Cameroon on the 29th. We are staging in Philly as well! I am an Sahel-Agro-forestry volunteer. Are there any other agro-forestry people reading this blog? I just wanted to say hi and see ya in Philly. I would love to hear from all of you. Enjoy your last days in the States.
