Peace Corps Fund
December 11th, 2005 by Jason Pearce.Looks like there is another site devoted to some of the same goals as ThirdGoal.com.
“The Peace Corps Fund supports programs conducted by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers to implement the Third Goal of the Peace Corps Act — help Americans understand the people and cultures of other countries — and thereby make our country better informed and more engaged in world affairs.”
This is more than a website, however. It’s a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 (C) (3) organization that funds projects that keep the promise of that Third Goal.
In summary, Third Goal (www.thirdgoal.com) is a medium for Peace Corps volunteers to use to practice the third goal while the Peace Corps Fund (www.peacecorpsfund.org)is an organization designed to fund similar activities.

Is there a way to get RSS feed for this site? It would be nice to be able to incorporate it into LiveJournal, which has a thriving PCV/RPCV population.

Jason,
I don’t know if you missed the Peace Corps buying George Clooney’s ONE program. It hapended at the end of last month, right around the time Wilson(RPCV), Plame(CIA), Snow(Bush Press), and Clooney got together at the Press Party. Darfur came right into the news too and I guess the real issue is poverty.
