Engineering volunteers

Has anyone here volunteered with the peace corps as an engineer? What was it like? Was it tough to get an engineering assignment? Ive been reading about the environmental and water resource engineering opportunities and it sounds very interesting. Im currently a civil engineering student and will be applying to the peace corps in the near future. Just trying to get as much info as I can beforehand. Thanks.
