Third Goal

Hi all-

I have a question for any RPCV or applicant/nominee to serve. I was nominated May 19, 2006 with a possible departure time of September 06 to Central Amer/South America in Urban Youth Development. I know patience is key right now, yet I can’t help but to be anxious now that is nearly August 1st! My medical file has been under review for just over 4 weeks now. My question is - what is the length of time people have experienced from invitation to staging/departure? I haven’t received any requests from DC for medical follow ups and have not been notified of an incomplete med file. Should I be concerned being that my recruiter suggested I would leave in September? Any help, advice, suggestions welcome. Also write if you are a potential Urban Youth Development volunteer in Central/So America….
