La Republica Dominicana 2006
December 23rd, 2005 by mjmenelli.I will be leaving for the Dominican Republic in February on an environmental education promotion program. I’ve already been in contact with several current volunteers in the DR and one coming along with my group (Jen Bingham). Is there anyone else out there who will be headed out in February? Hi there,
I am currently in the process of applying to the Peace Corps. I am very excited about the possibility of serving, however, have some safety concerns. If you have the time, I would greatly appreciate any insights you provide into the issue. Do you feel safe where you serve? Do you have a support network from the program, local community members and/or other volunteers in the area? Again, any advice or concerns shared would be greatly appreciated. Hey Leah,
I just received my invitation to serve in PC-DR in Feb 2007 too! I am still in the 10-day “thinking period” but I’m pretty sure its a go. I’ll be working on IT Education and I am uber-excited.
