nomination!
July 24th, 2006 by namastekelly.Hi! I’m Kelly and I was recently nominated for a health extension program in central South America, leaving June 2007. So…the medical process begins! I am feeling a little overwhelmed but hopeful that when it’s done it will be worth it. Anyhow, my recruiter was awesome and I am so excited…but she said that there were only a couple spots left in this nomination and to be prepared to go to Africa, too! Any comments on my chances? In any case, I am trying to get any feedback I can about either region as they are obviously completely different. I want to try and prepare as best I can for either one so that there are no disappointments. My main question is basically the differences of fitting in as a very white white girl, especially in Africa. I am very light complected and while I don’t see this as a bad thing or a problem I just wonder what any other pale female’s experiences have been?!
