I’m on my way…
December 9th, 2006 by nigerlvt.Hello! I received confirmation on Tuesday (November 28th) that I will be leaving for Niger, Africa January 9, 2007. Excitement is an understatement!
I’ve done research and more research, I’ve read Peace Corp Volunteer blogs and of course have read the welcome packet the Peace Corp has sent. (Everything moved rather quickly for me as I just applied in September.) It’s awesome that I will be able to use my Veterinary Technician degree and my years of experience to help others.
To interact with a different culture while doing the work I love and then have the opportunity to serve/represent my country makes for an awesome, priceless combination.

Congratulations! I wish you well and hope you enjoy your time in Niger. I just wanted to let you know my daughter, Brittany is in your training group as well that left on Jan 9th. I hope you are all doing well. We hope to watch any and all of your blogs, so we can better understand how you are all doing and to learn what life is like there!
