Finally Medically Cleared!
November 2nd, 2007 by travelcat07.Ok, so after a long and arduous and somewhat annoying 6 months, I’m FINALLY medically cleared and simply waiting for the placement officers to do their duty and give me a place to go… I was nominated to do English in Eastern Europe but over that last few months I let them know that I’d like to go to Northern Africa also so…we shall see. But basically, if anybody has been given their invitation recently(in the past month or so) and you’re headed to Europe or N. Africa, I’d like to hear bout what ur doing and where you’re going because I could possibly be joining you there!

I haven’t received the official invitation yet. I am currently still waiting for medical clearance (it’s been 3 weeks now!) My placement officer told me that I would be going to Eastern Europe. Either Turkmenistan, Georgia, or Armenia. They all have positives, so I’m just excited to see which one of them to start packing for.

I just turned in my medical packet a week ago, thus far the dental has cleared. Does it generally take 6 months for medical stuff to clear? This makes me a bit nervous, I’m scheduled to leave in September.
